KiD CuDi- A Man Named Scott

2 Apr

KiD CuDi is coming out with a new summer mixtape called, A Man Named Scott. He put out a brand new tune, “Capcom,” that you can check out below. In other news, KiD CuDi announced on his tumblr that he is quitting smoking marijuana and doing all drugs. Here is his statement:

I dont smoke weed anymore. Ill leave it to the kids. Im 27 with a business to run and i need to be alert and focused with my mind strong. For those who still get it on, smoke one in my memory as your favorite lonely stoner. This is not a joke. I know most of you wanna see me all drugged out and fucked up and i know misery loves company, but im sorry those days are over. I had a good run, Amsterdam and all. Im happy being sober. Im happy being a new me. Giva fuck who thinks of me different, you didnt care about me in the first place if you cant be proud and happy for me for growing and starting a new chapter. Im not your puppet or your tap dancing drug addict here to be your miserable muse, i always made music for me to help myself find understanding. I have finally learned from the words in my songs. I love who loves me and who really cares about me.

wow. thats amazing. i dont partake and dont see the need to. but i know that isnt the case for some people. some smoke because they think its cool. those are the people that i think are at the lowest spot in society. and then there are the people that feel they need it. not that im saying thats much better but we dont know what they deal with. i dont know cudi but from the words in his songs. one would think he has some issues. for someone like that to quit and say fuck you if you dont like it, thats big

I think its cool he quit. i am against smoking, tho i really liked those songs with the drugs, sometimes ppl grow up and realize they want somethin new. Imma still be a fan thing i like about him is that even though he used to get high he had enough common sense to speak intelligently in front of cameras.

I respect his decision and I will always be a fan of MAN cudi hes awesome. I bet in a few years after he has even more new material his concerts will be amazing you’ll see the evolutuion if him through his music cause it really does tell a story.

i agree with you on that. people dont like his stuff because its different from most rap these days which is garbage. but it does tell stories. people who appreciate good music can see that

happy for a brother who quit, but we should also take into consideration that the music he made while on the drugs, and the insights into this world and himself and the people around him were relevant and powerful. Stop listening to Fox News, Drugs does not equal bad.

yeah drugs do equal bad. unless you like dead brain cells. stop sucking the sack of the general population. drugs dont make you cool.

umm or you can read some facts on marijuana before you try to tell somebody on how they are bad.

    actually, my ignorant friend
weed is a drug. no matter how you look at it at some point it will have a negative effect on your life. its looked down on because its not good. why do you think he quit. weed isnt cool. its just glamorized by what you see on tv. youre just one of the losers who fell for it
